God can not Bless you past your last act of disobedience!

Job 42:7-10 (New King James Version)
7 And so it was, after the LORD had spoken these words to Job, that the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has. 8 Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job shall pray for you. For I will accept him, lest I deal with you according to your folly; because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.” 9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as the LORD commanded them; for the LORD had accepted Job. 10 And the LORD restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

I start this day with these words about Job and his friends to speak about something that is very dear to me, God's Blessings. Most of the time we decide that God has chosen not to bless us because we are not good or because he possibly just does not care or He just does not know who I am. I believe that this kind of doubt coupled with a lack of understanding of God's word leads us to believe that God will just Bless someone else and not me.
We get angry at God and begin to make an argument that maybe God does not exist. We ask God to help us and nothing happens, which leads us into further doubt and disbelief. We determine within ourselves there is no God. We begin to believe our own Eliphaz's, and Bildad's and Zophar's and reason amongst our friends that there is no hope and we should just give up.
So enough about the problem, let's take a look at the solution. I first want to tell you that the problem is us. We are the ones who live in disobedience and denial. I have stated and believe that "God can not Bless you past your last act of Disobedience." that's right can not. We sometimes confuse this as will not instead of can not. it is totally God' will to bless you, but he can not if we continue to live in disobedience.
Everyone likes to look at Job and see that God considered him a good servant, a just and upright citizen. We believe that these qualities will bring God's blessings and nothing else matters. But, it was not his life that brought the blessing in the end it was ONE act of obedience (v.10) when he prayed that God restored or multiplied or however you would like to consider the increase, He was Blessed because he obeyed.
Now if you have been living in disobedience and God's blessings have been cut off from you, Repent from the disobedience and allow to God to direct your path and instruct you into a course of action that leads to obedience. You are probably right now beginning to see things that you can do. i say do them and stop withholding God's Blessings. Remember it is totally God's will to bless you, but He can not Bless you past your last act of disobedience.
May God Bless,
Pastor Ron

The "Sexperiment" and The Truth!

2 Timothy 4:2-4
New King James Version (NKJV)

2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

The other evening I was watching the local news when I saw a news story about a local church's pastor and his "sexperiment". I thought about the idea of this being used for saving marriages and families by the startling concept that was presented, but I soon began to hear the Word of God speak to my heart about how in the last days, we will seek out teachers who will design their ministries to please men and draw in men to hear their fresh new revelations and directions and inspirations from "God".

I do firmly believe (and I have preached) that God made the marriage bed to bring us closer to Him. The experience of "making love" with your wife or husband is as close as one can get to experiencing the intimacy that God wants for us to experience with Him. My point is that there is no experiment necessary for men and women to find romance in their marriages. The answer to a long and satisfying marriage bed is drawing in close to God and Loving Him with all you heart, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

There is nothing new under the sun. Trying to draw attention to yourself will not glorify God to the point that the lost come to your church to find God. The spectacle of lying in bed with your spouse on top of the church for 24 hours, is not founded in scripture or sound doctrine. This so called "sexperiment" will only cause people to want to see you in bed with your spouse.

So I ask, have we heeped unto ourselves teachers, having itching ears? Have we turned away from The Way, The Truth, and The Life, which is God's Word? I say pointedly, Yes we Have! But I am also saying that I have to preach!

I have to preach the truth! I have to preach Jesus! I have to tell you that only Christ can save you, only the Holy Spirit can draw you in.

I like what the scientist Galileo said "All Truths are easy to understand, once they are discovered. The point is to discover them".

I say discover the truth in God's Word. God does want us to have satisfaction in our marriages. God loves us more than we really know, but you can get a glimpse of His love in your spouses eyes. The Church does not need gimmicks and publicity stunts to reach the lost. The Church just needs to get back to preaching The Truth. Seek men of God who are not afraid to preach the Truth.

I just have to preach!
