Loving Others

As a member of the human race, I am always amazed at how hard it is for people to Love each other, especially people who are of the same family. I have one of the most dysfunctional families I know. Some are estranged for reasons only they know, and won't share because they are just not speaking with each other. Some are speaking, but their speech is harsh and full of hate and cruelty. then there are the those who just choose to stand by and wait till the rest of the family self destructs.
I see all this and realize that this is also a pattern found even between countries around the world and neighborhoods everywhere. I do not pretend that I have the answer that will bring Love and Harmony back to all the families, neighbors, and the world's nations, but I do know that Love is the key.
1John Chapter 4 has much to say about this matter.
v. 7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is Love.

I hear these words in my spirit all day and find that it is really easy to express love to all who come my way. You may say Pastor, that is your job. I would say to you that maybe once upon a time, my expressed love was because of my vocation, but now I know my expressed love is because of who I have become, which is more than just my job. We can all be filled with His Love which can be perfected in us.

v. 17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgement; because as He is, so are we in this world.

v.20 If someone says, "I love God" and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he he has not seen?

Strong words of truth that will set a man, a neighbor, a nation, and a world free. I will choose to start by loving you. I love my family, my friends, my church, my country and my God. Will you show someone that you may have never showed love to, who you are in Christ. The bible teaches us and I seek to remind all that is by the way that we love one another, is how all men will know that we are His disciples. The Bible tells us to greet each other with an Holy Kiss, here is mine to you 'X'!

God Bless,
Pastor Ron
